Summertime in Adare

Adare Post Office

The Post Office is located at the Londis Supermarket, Station Road, Adare. This office provides the people of Adare, and visitors to Adare, with the services and the products they need including postal services, savings, a wide range of government services.

Tourist Information Office

The Tourist Information Office in Adare provides visitors with comprehensive information on Adare and the surrounding region. Our shop also stocks a wide variety of gifts and literature.


There is only one bank in Adare, situated in the centre of the village at the roundabout.

Adare Heritage Centre

The first port of call for visitors to the “village of the welcomes” is Adare Heritage Centre. The Centre is located on the main street of this beautiful village, with a large car park at the rear of the building, which is also suitable for coaches.

Getting Here

Adare is located in County Limerick, 18km from Limerick city on the N21. It is a popular spot for visitors to the south west of Ireland as a base for visiting the stunning counties of Limerick, Kerry, Cork, Clare and Galway.

The village of Adare is well served with taxis and hackneys, and visitors are assured of prompt and efficient responses to their requests to get to airports, trains, buses and to places of interest in the region.

There are four national schools in Adare and a large selection of secondary schools in Limerick city, and nearby towns of Rathkeale, Newcastle West and Abbeyfeale.

Adare is twinned with Buckow, Germany

Buckow is a town in the Märkisch-Oderland district in Brandenburg, situated 50 kilometres east of Berlin.


The three churches in Adare, still places of daily divine worship are of significant historic importance: The Holy Trinity Catholic Church, built 1230 - 1240, St. Nicholas Church of Ireland, built 1315 and the Adare Methodist Church built 1873.
