Situated in Adare Heritage Centre, our wide range includes Irish linen, handmade lace, contemporary and Celtic jewellery as well as Irish crafts, gifts and souvenirs. In our jewellery range you’ll find both traditional and contemporary pieces of Irish and Celtic design. We also stock a stylish collection of fashion jewellery which changes through the year.
Tadhg O'Connor
Gifts and hardware are nearly opposite ends of the scale, but Tadhg ‘Connor combines the two effortlessly in one place. Here at Tadhg ‘Connor’s we aim to keep a selection of quality gifts. Some of these may be from brands you know well, but we also stock a range of less common items so as to add a more individual flair to the store. We carry a comprehensive range of light hardware, DIY, etc.
Adare Cottage Shop
Located in an authentic 18th century traditional thatched Cottage at the entrance of the original Adare Manor Gates, this unique shop, has welcomed many famous celebrities and visitors since it was established in 1979, as Adare’s first giftware and fashion boutique.
Raincín Newsagents
Raincin Newsagents has a very long history selling newspapers in Adare, stretching back two generations. Newspaper readers are well catered for, as the shop sells all the Irish daily newspapers, some regional titles, as well as international newspapers. The store carries a wide range of leading magazines, greeting cards, mass cards and birthday cards, also the National Lottery, scratch cards and groceries.
Costello's Butchers
Costello’s Butchers is a quality retail and catering butcher based on Main Street, with a wealth of experience in the supply of high quality meats, including beef, chicken, pork, lamb and bacon, free range turkeys and extra lean mince.
Costello Butchers have been supplying meat to local pubs, restaurants and hotels, and other institutions in the region for two generations.
The Barber Rooms
Barber Rooms Adare is a modern men’s hairdressing salon located at the top of the village. Proprietor Vincent O’Carroll and his staff of professional barbers ensure that all haircuts are carried out to very high standards, which include cutting, trimming and shaping. Ponaire Coffee and Bespoke Irish Chocolates, at Churchview Adare, was set up by Tommy and Jennifer Ryan of Award-winning Ponaire Coffee Roasters in Newport, Tipperary. Having worked exclusively with one chocolatier (Benoit Lorge) for 3 years, in 2024 we Ponaire decided to restructure the company to incorporate numerous Irish Artisan Chocolatiers.
