Fully renovated in recent years, the house is bursting with character and charm where relaxation with family and friends is the order of the day. Ideally situated very close to the picturesque heritage village of Adare, with all the main tourist sites of Kerry and Clare an hour away.
Captain Lysley’s is 5km away from the famously picturesque heritage village of Adare and close to Limerick City and Shannon Airport. It is a great location for exploring the West of Ireland, particularly Co. Limerick itself but also Kerry and Clare which are both less 40km away and are home to some of the most beautiful beaches and countryside in Europe. County Clare is home to the very unique Burren karst landscape and the majestic Cliffs of Moher. County Kerry is renowned for its many amazing attractions like the town of Killarney and the famous Ring of Kerry. Dublin, our capital city is a mere two hour drive from our front door. Outside we usually have some friendly horses and cattle grazing. During the fine summer months it’s lovely to picnic under a big tree to the front of the house and for those days with less sunshine. We have working open fires in the sitting room & dining room.
The guests have use of the entire main house. The annex which is adjoining the property is private and is sometimes occupied by Katrina and John.
