Ponaire Coffee and Bespoke Irish Chocolates, at Churchview Adare, was set up by Tommy and Jennifer Ryan of Award-winning Ponaire Coffee Roasters in Newport, Tipperary. Having worked exclusively with one chocolatier (Benoit Lorge) for 3 years, in 2024 we Ponaire decided to restructure the company to incorporate numerous Irish Artisan Chocolatiers.
Ponaire only buys Speciality coffee beans traceable back to the farms, many of which they have visited. They only source from farms following sustainable and ethical practices aligning with their own business ethos. They roast 100% of their own beans and have over 25 Great Taste Award Gold Stars awarded by the Guild of Fine Foods.
The quaint shop is filled with the finest handmade chocolates from around Ireland and a vast selection of freshly roasted coffees and coffee accessories. Customers can come in and buy a selection of individual chocolates and barista quality coffees (hot or iced) to consume on the small patio in front of the shop. They also sell boxes and bars of chocolates and wide range of bags of coffees.
