The thatched cottage restaurant that is 1826 Adare, gets its name from the year the first Lord of Dunraven, built the cottage. The Maigue Restaurant

Celebrating 30 years of fine dining, our restaurant continues to be among the nations favourite. It has picked up many national awards, including ‘Best Irish Restaurant’ and ‘Best Hotel Restaurant’ and featured in the 2019 Munster Regional Final for Irish Restaurant Awards. The restaurant is legendary with orchard and herb gardens providing synergy with the kitchen.

The Dovecote

The Dovecote Restaurant, open daily from 9am, is situated at Adare Heritage Centre is renowned for its fast and friendly service, and offers authentic Irish cuisine in a casual bistro style restaurant. It is specially known for its delicious quiches and it offers an extensive range of hot beverages and a homemade dessert menu.

The Good Room

The Good Room in Adare was founded by Claire Staunton in 2009 with the aim of combining the elements of a café, a bistro and a bakery, put together in a very luxe, stylish room. Twelve successful years later The Good Room has become synonymous with locals and visitors alike for serving simple, uncomplicated food that’s bursting with flavour. Where possible, we cook and bake as much as we can in-house.

Neville's at the Cross

Neville’s at the Cross, Bar & Restaurant, located near Kilfinny, just 3km from the village of Adare. The bar dates back to 1850 and has been very popular with both local residents and visitors to the region. The Loftus family transformed the premises into a modern restaurant and bar while retaining its old world charm.

Houfu Chinese Restaurant

Houfu Chinese Restaurant is situated in the centre of the village of Adare and serves a feast of authentic eastern cuisine. Starters include our very popular grilled aromatic duck and grilled spring prawns to mention just a few. Our delicious prawn dishes include our house favourite, steam king prawn with garlic and soya sauce and Kung Po king prawn.

Pat Collins Bar

We offer an extensive bar menu with a wide range of Irish and international dishes for all appetites. Some of our daily specials include Traditional Irish Stew and Fresh Smoked Salmon. Our meals range from lunches to dinner with the option of finger food available for groups. All our produce is bought fresh from local markets.

Oak & Apple

In 2019, Claire Staunton (proprietor of the long-established The Good Room) opened Oak & Apple! The idea was a small boutique wine bar serving great small plates of food with big flavour – Oak & Apple was born. Opening at 5.30pm each evening, they serve an innovative eclectic menu – contemporary Irish food in a contemporary sleek space.

Café Lógr

Opened in July 2020 Café Lógr is situated at the beginning of the Blackabbey Road just across from the Adare Village Hall. Owned and operated by husband and wife team, David & Petra Hayes. Café Lógr is a light and bright space serving artisan speciality coffee, organic wines and simply prepared modern dishes using top quality local and seasonal produce in a friendly and relaxed environment.

Ramona’s

Enjoy some of the tastiest traditionally cooked fish and chips that you will find in the County, at Ramona’s Traditional Fish and Chips. Situated on Station Road, Ramona’s, your fish and chips paradise, have been serving delicious takeaway meals in Adare for ten years.

Ponaire Coffee & Bespoke Irish Chocolates

Ponaire Coffee and Bespoke Irish Chocolates, at Churchview Adare, was set up by Tommy and Jennifer Ryan of Award-winning Ponaire Coffee Roasters in Newport, Tipperary. Having worked exclusively with one chocolatier (Benoit Lorge) for 3 years, in 2024 we Ponaire decided to restructure the company to incorporate numerous Irish Artisan Chocolatiers.

Gihans Bistro at Adare Manor Golf Club

Welcome to Gihans Bistro at Adare Manor Golf Club. The Bistro is an addition to all the other fine restaurants and cafes in the Village of Adare. It is located on the golf course overlooking the picturesque 18th green with the Desmond Castle in the background.

Aunty Lena's Bar & Lounge

Aunty Lena’s was established in 1806 by the Chawke family, today it’s proprietor is Charlie Chawke, falling under his Chawke Pub Group umbrella of nine bars & restaurants, three pizzeria’s and two coffee shops based in Limerick & Dublin.

The Arches

A family run restaurant on the main street of Adare. The restaurant itself is one of the few that has kept its historical architecture. Serving locals and tourists for over thirty years and situated on the Main Street.
