Adare Village Park

In the heart of the village is a pretty oasis and gathering place in the shape of a public park. The land for this beautiful park, like most of the village, was once part of the massive Dunraven estate.
One feature of the park is the lovely thatched gazebo, which plays a part in village events and is a popular photographic background for the many weddings that take place in Adare all year round.

Adare Castle Tours

The Adare Desmond Castle is located on the edge of the village of Adare, just off the N21 on the main Limerick to Kerry road. Erected around the early part of the 13th century, it was the property of the Earls of Kildare for nearly 300 years until the rebellion in 1536, when it was forfeited and granted to the Earls of Desmond who gave the castle its present name.

Golf

Adare has two 18-hole golf courses and a pitch & putt course all within walking distance from the village. There are also over 20 golf courses within 1 hours drive from Adare.
