Sam Shine

Samuel J Shine founded the award winning Samco innovative agricultural company in 1997 here in Adare. Since then this family run business, which is a significant employer in the region, with over 60 employees, has expanded its SAMCO System, exporting to over 25 countries from their new 35,000 square foot manufacturing facility outside Adare village.

Dan Neville

Dan is a member of the foundation board of the Adare Community Trust [ACT] and was the first Chairman, when ACT was set up on Tuesday the 28th of March 2017.

Elaina Fitzgerald

From a background in market gardening, Elaina’s parents, Mary and the late Dick Fitzgerald started a bed and breakfast business, which has grown into the award-winning 4 star Fitzgeralds Woodlands House Hotel & Spa that exists today. Elaina works side by side with her mother Mary, her three brothers David, Conor and Richard, her niece Kerry and her sister in law Orla, as well as with an extended team of 270.

Mary Fitzgerald

From humble beginnings as a 4 bedroomed farmhouse offering guest accommodation just over 45 years ago, Mary Fitzgerald has grown her business into the award winning Fitzgeralds Woodlands House Hotel & Spa. Mary's hotel has Guaranteed Irish Accreditation thus demonstrating their commitment to exemplifying a unique Irish family hospitality experience.

Declan Hannon

Adare’s Declan Hannon is Captain of the Limerick Senior Hurling team and has the distinction of captaining Limerick to win the All-Ireland hurling titles in 2018, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023, becoming the first Limerick captain since Mick Mackey to captain Limerick to victory twice, and the first hurling captain to lift the Liam MacCarthy Cup a record five times. This year he will captain the team as they strive to make it 5 All Ireland’s in a row.

Adare is considered to be one of the best dining locations in Ireland, catering for all tastes. Our restaurants and hotels are regular winners of prestigious national and international food awards and due to their popularity you are advised to book in advance.
