Irish chef Neven Maguire will bring his popular Christmas specials from the heart of County Limerick this year, as he will cook easy and festive dishes in the world-renowned Adare Manor.
The first Christmas special will be aired on Thursday December 7 at 8pm on RTÉ One, and Neven will prepare Dublin Bay Prawn Spring Rolls with Mango Salsa.
His main course will be Turkey Breast with Citrus Butter, Honey Glazed Ham and Perfect Sides. These include Mashed Potato, Brussel Sprouts, Red Onion and Bacon Crumble, and Honey glazed Carrots.
Neven will then create a delicious Chocolate Baked Alaska with Chocolate Sauce for dessert.
Whether you’re a seasoned home cook or a beginner in the kitchen, Neven’s clear instructions and tips will help you recreate his delicious recipes.
He will also visit Adare Manor’s Michelin starred restaurant, The Oak Room, where he will chat about food at Christmas with Head Chef Mike Tweedie.
In Adare village, Neven will then visit The Good Room Café where owner Claire Staunton and her team baked tasty desserts for Neven to try, inspired by local flavours, traditions, and a true sense of community.
And to finish this episode Neven will look for something a bit special, so he invited the Shannon Gospel Choir to come to Adare to sing a festive song.
Neven commented: “I couldn’t be more excited to share this festive season with you all. Christmas is a special time of year, and the power of food to bring people together, and create lasting memories, is something I hold dear. I hope that ‘Neven’s Christmas in Adare’ brings joy and inspiration to your holiday season.”
Neven’s Christmas in Adare is directed by Mark Boland, produced by David Hare of InProductionTV and sponsored by Bord Bia.
