The Croom River Walk at the Town Park.

Just a 15 minute drive from Adare is the village of Croom, which boasts a well-planned 1.1 km loop trail river walk on the banks of the river Maigue. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 14 min to complete. This trail is great for bird watching, fishing, and running. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash. The Park is lit and so you can enjoy your riverside walk in the evening. Croom Town Park offers a playground as well as adult exercise machines and many picnic areas and park benches. On your walk you will see St. Mary’s Holy Well and the Mass Rock.

The Aubergine Store and Restaurant is located in the park with outdoor and indoor catering. The restaurant is a fantastic place for visitors and for the community to meet and eat with family and friends. Whether you are on the move or wish to take some time to dine inside the restaurant, there will be plenty of options available. The menu consists of a range of fresh, healthy and organic options with dishes also suitable for vegetarians and vegans serving Organic coffee, sourdough breads, salads and warm nurturing meals.
