Premiere Irish Golf Resort in Adare, County Limerick, Ireland

STARS of stage, screen and the field will descend on Adare this May for a new exciting celebrity charity golf tournament.

Fairway’s Fore Hope will be held at Adare Manor on May 23 and 24 with some big names taking to the course to raise money for some worthwhile causes.

Some of the big names who will be putting off at the event include boxer and Olympic medal winner Michael Conlan, ex footballer Liam Brady and ex-Ireland, Lions and Leinster rugby player Rob Kearney.

Actors Kevin Rahm, Justin Whelan and Michael Pena will join Irish singers Keith Duffy, Ronan Keating and Brian McFadden on the fairways.

Other big names attending the tournament include ex NFL quarterback Jim Kelly, Jamie Redknapp and Peter Schmeichel.

The Rainbow Club Cork is one of the charities who will benefit. The group is a lifeline to families, children, young teens and adults living with autism.

The other worthwhile cause is Hunter’s Hope Foundation which was established to address the acute need for information and research with respect to Krabbe Disease and related Leukodystrophies.

Their mission is to strive to support and encourage those afflicted and their families as they struggle to endure, adjust and cope with the demands of these fatal illnesses.

The winning team of the tournament will be presented with the Dillon Quirke Memorial Trophy.

In August 2022, Tipperary hurler Dillon Quirke passed away at the age of 24 after being taken ill during a game; Quirke was playing for his club Clonoulty Rossmore against Kilruane MacDonaghs at Semple Stadium.

Dillon’s family intend to set up a foundation in his memory, and do everything in their power to prevent another family from experiencing this tragic loss, and will outline a plan for free player health screening in due course.
