Travel agents from Canada visited Limerick, including Adare, just before Christmas, as part of a Tourism Ireland and Fáilte Ireland initiative. Pictured here; Canadian travel agents with Lauren Lamonday, Tourism Ireland; Gillian Griffin, Adare Manor and tour guide Barbara Hunter

The aim of the visit was to highlight Ireland as a year-round vacation destination for holidaymakers from the North American country.

The group’s schedule included a visit to the Treaty City microbrewery in Nicholas Street in the city centre, where the unique Limerick lager is made.

They also paid a visit to the five-star Adare Manor resort.
