Clare push Limerick all the way to extra-time but can’t stop them winning a fourth title in a row
Limerick have claimed their fourth successive Munster Senior Hurling title after an epic battle in Thurles ended 1-29 to Clare’s 0-29.
The meeting went to extra time after the two couldn’t be separated and played out a 1-21 to 0-24 draw in normal time at Semple Stadium.
Tony Kelly scored a last minute sideline puck for the Banner, his 11th point of the game, to leave it level after 70 minutes.
However, the Treaty County emerged the victors following the period of extra time.
