On a warm and typical summer’s day on the banks of the Maigue, artists from the region flocked to Adare again to participate in the 2021 Open Air Painting Competition, kindly sponsored by Regeneron. They created a colourful festival of artistic endeavour. Some of the artists were painting in an outdoor environment for the first time and they were surrounded by visitors, well-wishers and locals, who seemed in awe of the quality of their work. The artists took full advantage of the scenic landscape along the banks of the Maigue and the historic buildings of our Heritage town.
