As the impressive gates to Adare Manor remain closed for now, those lucky enough to live nearby have been enjoying their new dining option – A Taste of Adare Manor at Home. Due to the popularity of their new service, Adare Manor are adding two new options for those missing the theatre of dining at Adare.
A firm favourite with young and old, afternoon tea in The Gallery at Adare Manor is a special experience. Now available for delivery and collection, it’s time to lay a beautiful table, take out your finest china and enjoy the Adare Manor Afternoon Tea in the comfort of your own home.
Sweet treats include a lemon tart, apple choux bun with caramelised apple compote and caramel buttercream, pecan pie with vanilla and cream cheese mousse, almonds and milk chocolate, and finally Adare Manor’s signature Black Forest cake with griotte cherry cream and cocoa sable.
There are savoury sandwiches of baked Limerick ham with wholegrain mustard, West Clare crab with Exmoor caviar and pickled shallot on soda bread, Ballyneety Cucumber with lemon crème fraiche and Duncannon smoked salmon and salmon roe served on brown treacle bread. And of course, no afternoon tea is complete without glorious scones, lemon curd and clotted cream. Adare Manor Afternoon Tea at Home costs €35 per person (each box serves two people) and must be ordered 24 hours in advance. Children’s, vegetarian, vegan and gluten free afternoon tea are available on request.
For those yearning for that Michelin-starred experience, head chef Mike Tweedie and his team have created The Oak Room Cook at Home box. Three exceptional courses for €45 per person with an option to add a cheese course (highly recommended) for €15, this step by step guide offers Michelin star dining with minimum fuss.
Start with a simple and delicious bread from Adare Manor’s bakery, followed by a stand out dish from The Oak Room menu, the Ballinwillin cured wild boar consommé and parmesan ravioli. For mains enjoy delicate braised turbot, scallop, celeriac, truffle and champ mash and for a hit of sweetness there is a yogurt pudding with fig and pistachio and a passionfruit and mango cheesecake with coconut.
There is an option to include a selection of artisan Irish cheese for two for those who love the now infamous cheese trolley at The Oak Room. A vegetarian menu is available on request also.
The Oak Room Cook at Home box is available Friday and Saturday for collection between 12pm and 7pm. Delivery is also available up to 10km of Adare Manor. Menus change weekly and a minimum order for two is required with pre-order at least 24 hours in advance. To order call 061 605297.
