It was a very special day in Adare today for John Kelly and his family with the reopening of Raincín’s shop. It is a third generation independently run newsagency and they have carried out major alteration this year to mark 80 years in business, going all the way back to John’s grandmother Agnes Rankin. John’s father Vincent and John’s late mother Patsy, who married in 1965, ran the business between them up until Patsy’s untimely death in 2004. We wish John and family best wishes for the future as they continue to expand their business.

At today’s opening, attended by Cllr. Bridie Collins, the ribbon was cut by Adare’s most esteemed lady, Dolly O’Neill.
