Limerick Rose Sinéad Flanagan has been crowned this year’s 2019 International Rose of Tralee. Sinéad is the third Limerick Rose to win the title in the 60 years of the festival and Adare Village Website joins with everyone in Adare in sending her congratulations on her great achievement. Sinead wore a stunning emerald green lace gown on stage and she displayed a very warm personality throughout her interview with Dáithí Ó Sé.
Sinead’s father hails from Roscommon and her mother comes from Cork but the Limerick Rose has lived in Adare since she was a teenager. Sinead studied physiotherapy at University of Limerick before completing a degree in medicine from University College Cork, where she now works.
Sinéad commented on the upcoming claim to fame that awaits the village of Adare with the Ryder Cup being staged here in 2026 and added “Hopefully JP will sort out the bypass.”
