What a great day for Limerick hurling, captained by Declan Hannon of Adare, with a 12 point victory over Tipperary, 2-26 to 2-14, in the Munster Senior Hurling Final at LIT Gaelic Grounds, Limerick. Declan now joins two other past heroes of Limerick hurling Mick Mackey and Timmy Ryan from Ahane, who captained Limerick to win Munster, All-Ireland and league trophies.
Declan played a captain’s part in today’s final with a superb performance and hopefully Limerick will go on to win back to back All Ireland Hurling Finals. Well done Declan, Adare salutes you.
