The March Newsletter has been distributed throughout the village and it features a few notable projects including the Sensory Garden, the Refurbishment of the Village Fountain, the setting up of Residential Area Groups, a Nature Trail, and some tips on how to save water in your wc cistern, and information on a Bee friendly Alternative Weed Killer.
The good news is that funding for the Sensory Garden, to be sited at the end of the town park, has been raised and the project has the support of the Limerick City and County Council. Regarding the Village Fountain, it is planned to open the area around the fountain by removing the flower beds, shrubs and hedging and replacing them with seating to reclaim this area as a relaxing area for the public. The Tidy Towns committee are also looking for help and input from newly formed Residential Area Groups, so if you are interested in volunteering for a group in your area you should contact Bridie Collins, Bridiecollins2019@gmail.com
The Newsletter also reminds us of the Good Friday Clean-up Day. The next meeting of Adare Tidy Towns will be held at the Dunraven Arms Hotel on Thursday 4th April at 7.30pm and all are welcome.
