July 2020 will see the sixth staging of the JP McManus Invitational Pro-Am. Since the inaugural tournament in 1990 the event has grown from strength to strength. It is now one of the biggest charity golf events in the world and has raised over €140 Million for Irish Charities & Not for Profit organisations in the Mid-West Area since 1990.

Previous tournaments have attracted the world’s top golfers like Tiger Woods and Padraig Harrington, who are personal friends of JP, also Graeme McDowell, Dustin Johnson, Henrik Stenson, Mark O’Meara, Jim Furyk, Rory McIlroy, Luke Donald, Lee Westwood, John Daly; and the list of golfing superstars goes on!

80,000 spectators attended the event in 2010 and some of the sportsmen and celebrities who played included AP McCoy, Gary Lineker, Michael Douglas, Martin O’Neill, Keith Wood, Ken Doherty, John Francome.

Apart from the massive contributions raised for worthy charities from the tournament, the benefit to Adare and the region is immeasurable in terms of tourism, as the event showcases Adare worldwide over the two days. The 2020 Pro-Am promises to be the most spectacular and testing tournament to date as it will be played over the new course which has been transformed into a parkland paradise worthy of a country in the top tier of global golfing destinations.
