One of the two cottages which was gutted by fire in June 2015 is once more back on the market with a guide price of €180,000. The property in the centre of the village, opposite the Holy Trinity Church, has been on sale for some considerable time, but with the high demand for property and sites in and around Adare, this property is now attracting a lot of interest. The Adare Cottages are considered to be the jewels in the crown of Adare’s heritage.
The next door cottage which was also destroyed by that same fire has been completely restored and it was featured recently on RTE’s Nationwide. It is hoped that this property, built in 1826 by Lord Dunraven, will sell quickly, so that restoration work can be commenced without delay.
