Limerick Hunt Museum

Located in the heart of Limerick City, The Hunt Museum is home to the eclectic collection generously donated by John and Gertrude Hunt to the people of Ireland. Exhibiting one of Ireland’s greatest private collections of art and antiquities, dating from the Neolithic to the 20th Century, the permanent collection both intrigues and inspires visitors, which is complimented by our diverse programme of temporary exhibitions.

Situated in Limerick’s 18th Century style Palladian Custom House, overlooking the Shannon River, the Hunt Museum offers tours and workshops given by our expert Docents, hosts special events and festivals as well as being a prime venue for weddings and private functions. The Hunt Museum is also home to the Hunt Café and the Hunt Museum Gift Shop, with fresh food and mementos to make your trip to the museum a memorable one.
